The Earth Hour…

earth hourOn March 27th there was a global event happening. It’s called Earth Hour. It is a day when everyone in the world turns off their lights for one hour to help with global warming and to bring it to the attention of people around the world. The organizers hope that this world-wide stand against climate change will be noticed by government officials.

This video that I created shows how much light cities use at night. These pictures are of some of the big cities like Vancouver and Las Vegas and how much energy they use at this time of day. It looks like a big waste of electricity.

For me Earth hour was pretty good. My family and I played scrabble most of the time. We completely turned off all of the power so it was really quiet. How was your Earth Hour experience? Let me know. Bye for now!
